Kim Heung-Sook writes about the ginkgo tree that found her:
One day last summer, I noticed tiny green sprouts on the stick, which, as time went by, gradually gained the fan shape of ginkgo leaves. There had been a couple of maidenhair trees outside my previous home, and a naked seed from one of them seemed to have blown in through the wire-netted window and found a home in the pot.
