Ginkgo Sundays: House and Garden

Livinglass is one of those products that makes you think of all the ways you could use it. Pictured above is one of two ginkgo designs offered by the company; you can find the other on this page (assuming that you don’t get distracted by all of the other possibilities). What you’re looking at is real ginkgo leaves sandwiched inside laminated architectural glass.

If I were using this in my house, I’d use it as a sidelight by the front door, or in the potential bathroom model. The possibilities, however, are limited only by your imagination (mine also imagines a slightly different pattern, with drifting ginkgo leaves, some in the air, with a big pile at the bottom).

  • I, too, have ginkgo dreams--love the real leaves inbetween glass.  I have a growning collection of ginkgo art, including a custom oil done for me by an artist friend.  I also planted a small ginkgo tree in my yard almost two years ago.  It has weathered two winters now!  I feel that I have ginkgo “radar” as I am always on the alert for actual trees and products.  Happy Hunting.
